This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating a simple morph transition slide in PowerPoint. The process involves creating rectangles, adding text, and applying transitions.
Step 1: Create Rectangles (00:49 - 01:03)
Start by adding a new slide. Go to Insert > Shapes and choose the rectangle. Draw the rectangle on the slide. Set the outline to ‘No Outline’ and fill it with a dark blue color. Hold the Control + Shift keys and add another rectangle towards the right. Fill this rectangle with a light blue color or any color of your choice.
Step 2: Group and Resize Rectangles (01:03 - 01:26)
Select both the shapes, hold the Control + Shift keys, and drag them to the right. Select all the shapes, press Control + G to group them, and then increase the height and width as per your requirement.
Step 3: Duplicate and Color Rectangles (01:26 - 01:43)
Drag the grouped rectangles down by holding the Control + Shift keys. For the duplicated group, change the color to gray.
Step 4: Ungroup and Adjust Rectangles (01:43 - 01:57)
Select both the groups of rectangles, right-click, and choose ‘Ungroup’. Make sure to adjust the position of the rectangles as needed.
Step 5: Add Overlay Rectangle (01:59 - 02:12)
Insert another rectangle that covers all the existing rectangles. Set the outline to ‘No Outline’ and fill it with a dark gray color. Send this rectangle to the back.
Step 6: Insert Text and Option Number (02:17 - 02:41)
Go to Insert > Text and type ‘1’. Set the font color to white and the font to Arial Black. Adjust the font size to 100 and position it in the center of the first rectangle. Hold the Control + Shift keys and drag the text to the other rectangles.
Step 7: Insert Icons (02:57 - 03:35)
Go to Insert > Icon and select some random icons for this tutorial. You can use relevant icons for your slides. Adjust the height and width of the icons to 6 and place them exactly below the option number in each rectangle.
Step 8: Add Title and Detailed Text (03:46 - 04:30)
Insert a text box and add a title. Make it center-aligned and bold. Insert another text box and add some detailed text. Make it center-aligned, reduce the font size, and position it exactly below the title. Repeat this step for each option.
Step 9: Apply Morph Transition (05:01 - 05:05)
Go to Transitions > Morph and set the duration to 1 second.
Step 10: Duplicate Slide (05:08 - 05:53)
Duplicate the slide three more times. For each duplicated slide, keep only the corresponding option and delete the rest.
Step 11: Adjust Flip Direction (06:01 - 07:05)
Depending on your requirement, you can adjust the flip direction of the rectangles. This can be done by selecting the rectangle, going to Shape Format > Rotate, and choosing ‘Flip Vertical’ or ‘Flip Horizontal’. This will change the way the rectangles flip during the morph transition.
That’s it! You have now created a simple morph transition slide in PowerPoint. Different ways can be used to make the transition depending on the requirement. Enjoy creating your PowerPoint presentations!
